Beetroot, tobacco, liquorice and leather nose. The palate is dense and with chewy tannins – powerful, rich leather, fruitcake and quite incredible concentration too. Dense structure on the palate and a rich finish. Texturally superb as well. Will age beautifully. Classy stuff. (AC)

The 2021 Ebenezer Shiraz is aromatically bursting with cassis, blackberry pie, salted licorice and cocoa dust. There is blueberry coulis, too. In the mouth, the wine is unfettered, supple and elegant, and the tannins are wrapped around a core of pure fruit. It is crystalline, in a way. Chalky and shapely. Very, very good.
