Dramatically better than my previous bottle, this gorgeous bottle served up dried flowers, cigar wrapper mint leaf, spice, smoke, and bright, red fruits. The silky finish kept on going. It was quite a surprise! Drink from 2024-2030.

The 1955 Canon la Gaffelière is showing well, exhibiting pretty aromas of dried red berries, vine smoke, orange rind, pipe tobacco and sweet soil tones. Medium-bodied, elegant and fine-boned, it's understated but intensely flavored, with melting tannins and a long, sapid finish.
