Note di degustazione
The 1955 Beychevelle was so frustrating. This is clearly a very fine Left Bank Saint-Julien, not least on what is clearly a very elegant and refined palate. But there is definitely some TCA on this bottle that snuffs out the aromatics. I would love to taste an untainted bottle.

A tight, spicy, cedary nose and decent color are acceptable for this wine's age. The wine is medium-bodied and compact, with hard tannin in the finish. I do not see it ever developing into anything special.
Informazioni sul produttore

With greater care in the vineyard and more precision in the winery, Ch. Beychevelle's star is rising. That's in large part due to the leadership of Philippe Blanc and investment by current owners, Japanese brewers Suntory and French wine group Castel.
