Note di degustazione
The 2021 Echézeaux Grand Cru appears to have a lot of whole bunch on the nose, which impedes the fruit profile, with cranberry and redcurrant peeking out from behind those stems. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, fresh and quite marine-driven, with a hint of Japanese nori infusing the red fruit. Fine grip, still quite stemmy, although I will give it the benefit of the doubt because they should be assimilated with time. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a very attractive bouquet with red cherry, blood orange, white tipped strawberry on the nose that builds nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, decent weight. It doesn't quite kick on at the finish like the '2019 or 2020. Still, it will give 12-15 years of drinking pleasure.
The 2021 Echézeaux Grand Cru is brilliant, wafting from the glass with notes of orange zest, peonies, spices, red berries and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and melting, with supple tannins, lively acids and a long, saline finish, it's an especially sensual, seamless rendition of this cuvée.
