The 2023 Chardonnay Kreuth is remarkably pretty, blending yellow flowers with freshly sliced white peach, sage and stone dust. It is crystalline in feel, soothingly round and supple, with depths of ripe orchard fruits offset by crisp mineral tones. The wine leaves a saline tinge and hints of sour lime, tapering off lightly structured and long with a savory herbal thrust that lingers.

Aged in large oak casks. A nose that makes you sit up: spicy apple and hints of garden herbs and bursting with minerality. Transparent! Creamy notes and lemony fruit creating real tension on the palate. Very long and with a citric zip on the peach-stone finish. I would give this another year in bottle. (WS)
