Note di degustazione
Served from magnum. More proof that this was an excellent vintage for dry whites in Bordeaux, and this was full of flavour. Lime zest, grapefuit, melon, citrus, so juicy and drinkable.

I sneak in this 2017 Tronquoy-Lalande Blanc because it is due for release onto the market in May 2021. It comes from a single hectare of vines and stays on the lees for six or seven months. The distinctive nose features white asparagus and pressed flower scents, the Sauvignon Gris (29% of the blend) quite potent. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, that asparagus note translating across here, flanked by gooseberry and light white mushroom notes toward the finish.
Informazioni sul produttore

This 30-hectare estate in Saint-Estèphe is only classified as a Cru Bourgeois yet its terroir has long been prized. Now part of the same stable as the illustrious Ch. Montrose, there has been significant investment here, with rising quality and wines that now offer excellent value.
