Note di degustazione
The 2019 Crabitey has a generous nose of plush dark cherries, mulberry, cedar and light peppermint aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and moderate depth, perhaps lacking the finesse that I was expecting from the barrel sample, hence my slightly lower score.

The 2019 Crabitey is impressive, just as it was en primeur. Bright red-toned fruit, white chocolate, flowers, gravel and mint give the 2019 quite a bit of freshness and energy that builds over time. This mid-weight, wonderfully expressive Graves is a winner.
Full bottle 1,300 g. 70% 'Sauvignon' (sic), 30% Sémillon. Pale greenish gold. Lightly smoky with real grip though not great concentration nor persistence. Did white-wine producers pick a bit early because they were worried about falling acid levels? (JR)
Savoury, firm tannins, a little austere. This is an easily approached Graves from owner Arnaud de Butler, with the classic balance of the appellation. 33% new oak.
