Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2021-2026, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux, Jul 2021

The dry white of Château Coutet was introduced with the 2010 vintage, accounting for around 10% of the overall production, and it consistently delivers rich but controlled flavours, with tension and juice coming from the relatively cool clay over limestone soils (in fact the dry white is sourced from the coolest part where the layer of clay is especially deep). Clear density through the palate here, with layers of mango, nectarine, saffron and a gorgeous point of fennel giving lift and focus. Harvest August 30 and 31.

Punteggio 89-91/100 · Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Apr 2019

Barrel fermented, the 2018 Opalie de Coutet has quite an exotic nose of mango, pineapple paste and passion fruit with nuances of spiced pears and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied, the palate grabs your attention with bags of energy and a racy backbone, finishing long and zesty.
