Punteggio 82/100 · Da bere 2021, Neal Martin, Jun 2022

The 2013 Château de la Dauphine was picked at a paltry 20hl/ha from 23 September to 10 October with 15% malo in barrel. It has a light, ephemeral nose as you expect from this challenging growing season, maybe a tad green around its edges. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins and hollow towards the finish. It feels a little mealy in the mouth; bottles should be drunk now, if not yesterday.

Punteggio 85-87/100 · Da bere 2014-2019, Robert Parker, Aug 2014

This relatively good Fronsac has notes of mulberry and cranberry fruit, wet rocks and floral notes, a good introductory mouthfeel, with texture, flesh and ripe fruit, but it narrows out in the finish. The acidity is obvious, but the tannins are not. Drink over the next 4-5 years.
