Another impressive Fronsac in the vintage, the 2021 Château De La Dauphine has ripe black cherry and blackberry-like fruit as well as some spicy, dried herb, and chocolaty notes to go with a medium-bodied, supple, elegant profile on the palate. It's nicely balanced, has ripe tannins, and a great finish. It needs a year or two to integrate some oak, but this is well done. Drink bottles through 2031.

The 2021 La Dauphine is a real success. Deep, fleshy and super-expressive, the 2021 has a lot to offer. Succulent dark cherry, plum, mocha, licorice, dried herbs and incense are nicely amplified in this mid-weight yet flavorful Fronsac. What a delight.
A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, the 2021 de la Dauphine possesses a spicy, slightly oaky bouquet, followed by a juicy, medium-bodied, supple and tense palate.
A carefully worked, enjoyable Fronsac with balance, a little less dense than in recent vintages, with focus on blueberry, rose stem and raspberry leaf, baking spice and fresh acidities to give lift on the finish.
