2013 Rol Valentin

The 2013 Rol Valentin is quite pretty. Sweet tobacco, incense, dried black cherries, mocha and earthy notes meld together in an attractive, mid-weight wine endowed with lovely length and tons of class. The finish is a bit compact, but if the wine gains volume, it might merit a higher score. Today, the 2013 lacks its typical volume, although it is quite pretty if taken on its own terms.
