Punteggio 88/100 · Da bere 2020-2029, Neal Martin, Feb 2020

The 2017 Les Hauts de Lynch-Moussas has a quietly impressive bouquet with ample blackberry and raspberry scents infused with tobacco and smoke. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, well judged acidity, good body with a finely tuned finish. Worth looking out for given the price.

The 2017 Les Haut de Lynch-Moussas was cropped at 51hl/ha. It has an agreeable bouquet, adequate red cherry and cranberry fruit, nicely defined and integrated with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite supple in the mouth with black tea and a touch of charcoal infusing the tender finish. Enjoy this over three to five years.

The 2017 Haut de Lynch-Moussas is a powerful second wine laced with hints of scorched earth, tobacco, menthol and licorice. Although a bit rustic, the 2017 offers good depth and plenty of character.
