Also from the Oak Knoll region, the 2021 Merlot Muir-Hanna has attractive cherry and redcurrant fruit in a medium-bodied, juicy, enjoyable style. It's another mid-weight, pretty, nicely balanced red from this label that's perfect for near-term drinking.

The 2021 Merlot Muir-Hanna Vineyard offers up scents of cherries, subtle herbal shadings and a hint of tomato. It's medium-bodied, quite tart and taut. Is this a Napa Merlot that needs time? I'm not entirely convinced it will ever really blossom, but maybe it's worth a try if that's what you're looking for.
