Brilliant ruby-red. Displays deeply perfumed, smoke-tinged aromas of cherry compote, black raspberry, anise and white pepper are complicated by a suave potpourri flourish. Juicy, expansive and appealingly sweet, offering densely packed red and blue fruit liqueur and lavender pastille flavors and a touch of five-spice powder. Smooth, harmonious tannins build slowly on a strikingly long, focused finish that leaves a sweet blue fruit note behind.

The 2014 Grenache Aerope is 100% Grenache that was mostly destemmed (75%) and aged 10 months in concrete tanks followed by an additional 5 months in French oak Puncheons. It has a perfumed, exotic bouquet of strawberries, framboise, orange blossom, white pepper, crazy spices, and flowers. This silky, seductively textured beauty has medium to full body, ripe, sweet tannin, solid overall balance and a great finish. It benefits from a decant and will keep for 8-10 years.
