Note di degustazione
Very small, 0.87 ha climat just below Clos des Lambrays on clay. This 0.3 ha plot at the western end of it was re-acquired by Clos des Lambrays so recently from the Cossons, who owned Clos des Lambrays between 1938 and 1979 and owned Clos Baulet for 41 years, that this is their first vintage. Average vine age 35 years. 40% whole bunches. 17 months in 20% new oak. Pretty intense nose. Gentler fruit and less obvious tannin than Les Loups. A real charmer. Lots of violet notes. Approachable already! Very intense fruit too. (JR)

0.3 ha (0.74 acre), one-third of the entire cru. 35-year-old vines. First reiteration of a Domaine de Lambrays Clos Baulet since purchase from Eric Cosson on his retirement. 30–40% whole clusters. Tank sample. Mid ruby. Red-berry fruits and cassis. Striking aroma of clove and lots of spice from the whole bunch. Firm grip. (MH)
