Note di degustazione
The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Chabiots 1er Cru has quite a stemmy nose that rather obscures the terroir and fruité at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with a chewy opening, quite firm in the mouth, just missing some finesse and Pinoté towards the finish. A bit too firm for a Chambolle, at least in my book.

This little-known premier cru lies just north of Musigny, across the road from Les Amoureuses. TA (sulphuric) 3.7 g/l, TA (tartaric) 5.66 g/l, pH 3.4. 30% whole bunch. 16 months’ oak ageing, 30% new. Cask sample. A bit lighter in hue, lifted floral aromas. Elegant and with sweet fruit on the palate. Very classy, quite typical Chambolle, no blockbuster but will age. Ballet dancer. (AWH)
