Note di degustazione
The 2018 Petit Faurie Soutard is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple colored, it sashays out of the glass with upfront notes of kirsch, stewed black plums and boysenberries, plus wafts of menthol, mossy tree bark and graphite. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is refreshing and purely fruited, delivering the right amount of soft tannins and finishing with a minty lift.

The 2018 Petit Faurie de Soutard comes across as a little overripe and smudged on the nose. The palate is sweet on the entry then sags in the middle and feels very monotone on the finish.
A brilliant wine in the making, the 2018 Château Petit Faurie De Soutard reveals a deep purple color as well as a medium to full-bodied, rounded, sexy style on the palate that’s already hard to resist. Ample black fruits, chocolate, ground herbs, and tobacco notes all emerge from this medium to full-bodied Saint-Émilion that has ripe, polished tannins, beautiful overall balance, and a great finish. It’s high-class stuff. Give bottle 2-4 years and enjoy over the following 15. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.
The 2018 Petit Faurie de Soutard is laced with the essence of black cherry, lavender, spice, leather, espresso and menthol. Medium in body and silky, with striking aromatic intensity, the 2018 is impeccable in its balance. More importantly, it is flat-out delicious.
