Note di degustazione
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru is very perfumed on the nose, coming across quite floral, with a little more extraction than its peers. A slight licorice note develops with time, though it remains quite reduced. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit and fine delineation. Lightly spiced with a slightly foursquare finish. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers is also performing very well, exhibiting aromas of dark berry fruit, ripe cherries, rich soil tones, espresso roast and toasty new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and charming, with a fleshy core of fruit, beautifully refined tannins and a long finish.
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru comes from vines that lie within the Sérafin maison . Their holdings has expanded as they bought some land within the Premier Cru that they have now planted with vine, though at the moment it is blended into the Gevrey Vieilles Vignes. It has a pleasant floral bouquet that feels quite pure and intense, hints of oyster shells suffusing the black and blue fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, good grip with quite a tannic, slightly austere note that should flesh out with age.
