NHB! Beast of a bottle! Domaine Clarence Dillon needs to pay a fine for putting wine into bottles like this. Dried-currants nose. Inky, with an oddly confected vanilla-and-blackcurrant-sugar sweetness. Well-proportioned between tannin, acidity and fruit. Cedar shavings and fragrant ground coriander and allspice. The finish is intensely cassis. (TC)

From the first vintage of this ex Tertre Daugay property. A little bit simple and sweet but not too thick. (JR)
Dark with char and dark chocolate on the nose. Much cooler and more supple than I expected on the palate. Juicy length. Grippy tannins but a long juicy finish escapes the structure. (JH)
