Note di degustazione
The 2019 Hospitalet de Gazin has a bold, slightly monotone nose that gains more complexity with aeration, revealing black fruit, a touch of undergrowth, and a little mushroom in the background. The palate is quite structured with good depth. Not a complex Pomerol, yet there is an attractive spicy finish. For some reason, I can see this partnering a rump steak with style.

The 2019 Hospitalet de Gazin is a pleasant, easygoing second wine to drink now and over the next handful of years, while the flavors remain bright. A burst of sweet red berry fruit, spice, mint and citrus give this mid-weight, charming Pomerol a good bit of energy, especially on the finish.
95.6% Merlot, 2.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1.8% Cabernet Franc. Second wine of Ch Gazin. Dark pastille-fruit aroma with a savoury note behind. Supple and ripe but juicy and driven at the same time. Slightly grainy tannins but lots of character. Should be GV . (JL)
Tight cassis fruits, pointed tannins through the mid palate, this is serious and needs a few years to loosen up. 2nd wine of Château Gazin.
