The 2020 Domaine Du Bouscat La Gargone is a more red and blue-fruited, forward, nicely concentrated 2020 with good mid-palate density and ripe tannins. As with the other wines here, it's not yet bottled.

The 2020 Gargonne is laced with dark cherry, plum, new leather, licorice and lavender. This mid-weight Bordeaux Supérieur is not as bombastic as it used to be, but that is not a bad thing. Proprietor François Dubernard crafts pretty rich, heady wines. For me, La Gargone captures an attractive middle ground of intensity without some of the over the top lushness that some of these wines can show.
