Note di degustazione
The 2019 Le Coteau is quite closed on the nose despite coaxing, offering dark, broody black fruit laced with melted tar and humidor. The palate is medium-bodied with a little chewiness on the entry, but there is ample freshness and good bite on the finish. This should drink well over the next decade.

The 2019 Le Coteau is a dense, flamboyant Margaux that offers tons of immediacy and appeal. Succulent red cherry, plum, spice, cedar and tobacco are front and center.
Full bottle a reasonable 1,270 g. Biodiversity proclaimed on the back label. Pale to mid crimson. Light nose. Certainly very fresh and precise with the tannins of the vintage in evidence. But not too much so. The opposite of heavy-handed. Dry finish. Flirtatious and reasonably expressive of the appellation. (JR)
It's always a pleasure to find a smaller Margaux estate that is performing well, and this is totally delightful. Perfumed nose, soft berry fruits, fine tannins and overall attractive balance from owner Eric Léglisse.
