Note di degustazione
Ripe red and black fruits, scorched earth, smoke, and some tobacco notes all emerge for the 2021 Domaine De La Solitude, a medium-bodied, balanced, elegant, yet nicely concentrated Péssac-Léognan. It plays in the fresher, focused end of the spectrum but brings ample sweet fruit and has ripe tannins and tons of character. It should have 15 years or more of prime drinking.

Flowers, espresso, cocoa, spice and red berry aromatics dominate the perfume. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, fresh, soft, polished, refined and forward, leaving you with sweet, black raspberries, plums, cherries , chalk and a refreshing sprig of mint leaves. This will drink well on release and provide pleasure for more than a decade. Drink from 2024-2045.
The 2021 Domaine de la Solitude has an intense bouquet with black olive-tinged black fruit—well-defined and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins. This is quite pure, revealing a touch of graphite toward the almost Pauillac-like finish. Fine.
The 2021 Rouge, a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, exhibits a fruity, delicate bouquet with aromas of dark berries, spices, flowers and nicely integrated oak. Medium-bodied, fresh and delicate, it’s juicy with velvety tannins and has a fresh, mouthwatering finish. In the context of the vintage, this is a real success.
