Note di degustazione
The 2015 Bastor-Lamontagne has a generous bouquet with brioche, dried honey and peach-skin aromas, well defined and quite floral in style, especially with aeration. The palate is well balanced with notes of butterscotch, almond and frangipane. Maybe it feels a little obvious and I would have liked slightly less residual sugar on the finish, but it should drink well for a decade. This does not quite match my expectations from barrel, but it may improve. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

Tasted blind. Not much nose and then a barley-sugar character with some of the barley cereal too! Medium weight and medium sugar with a definitely burnt end. Not that fresh. (JR)
A luscious, mellow Sauternes with a lot of caramel and toast character and some grapefruit freshness. Nice creaminess on the mid-palate, then a long, lively citrus finish. Drink or hold.
The 2015 Bastor-Lamontagne is delicate, floral and lifted. Candied lemon peel, spice, dried flowers and vanillin add shades of nuance to this gracious, perfumed Sauternes from Florence and Daniel Cathiard. I would prefer to drink the 2015 over the next few years in order to get the most out of the wine's freshness.
