There is a jump in quality with the 2017 Quintanilla, which showed much better than the unbottled sample I tasted last year. The wine showed unusual finesse for a vineyard that can get stressed with heat and can show concentration and ripeness. There is weight in the palate, with abundant, fine-grained tannins. I think it showed extremely well for the conditions of the vintage. 2,748 bottles were filled in July 2019.
