Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2024-2045, Neal Martin, Nov 2018

The 2015 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a ripe, ostentatious bouquet of bold, well-defined black cherry, fig jam, peppermint and mineral scents; the oak neatly is folded into the fruit but certainly extroverted. The palate is sweet, ripe and lower in acidity than I would have liked, and rounded and fleshy with veins of blueberry and cassis toward the finish. A thoroughly enjoyable Grand Cru, its nobility translated by its elegance. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Punteggio 96/100 · Da bere 2022-2040, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Oct 2018

Tasted blind, Magnien's 2015 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru showed very well indeed, unfurling in the glass with a rich, spicy bouquet of cherries, incense, citrus rind, rich soil and dried flowers, framed by some savory notes of grilled meat and espresso roast. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and lavish, with velvety structuring tannins, a deep core of fruit and juicy balancing acids, concluding with a long and sapid finish. This performed superbly against its peers in this tasting and is well worth seeking out.
