2012 Canon Pecresse

A dark, super-ripe wine, the 2012 Canon Pécresse offers good up-front intensity, but then loses much of its persistence through the mid-palate and finish. The 2012 will do in a pinch, but it lacks the depth and nuance of the best wines in the appellation. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Simon Blanchard and Hannah Fiegenschuh are the consulting winemakers.
