Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2029-2049, Jeb Dunnuck, Mar 2026

The 2023 Château Le Thil is based on 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc and was aged in 20% new French oak. This big, ripe, opulent Graves offers black cherries, currants, blackberries, graphite, chocolate, and scorched earth on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied, deep, rich, and concentrated, with ripe, building tannins and a great finish. Give it 4-5 years to gain elegance and enjoy over the following two decades. Drink 2029-2049.

The 2023 Le Thil is rich and plush in its contours. Sumptuous dark fruit, new leather, cloves, iron and gravel are nicely amplified in the glass. This is an especially creamy, broad vintage for Le Thil. Floral overtones from the 8% Cabernet Franc perk up the finish effortlessly.

Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2027-2037, Neal Martin, Feb 2026

The 2023 Le Thil has an attractive blackberry- and bilberry-scented bouquet, quite floral in style, well defined with an underlying mineralité . The palate is medium-bodied with powdery tannins. Mainly black fruit mixed with black pepper and graphite, a strict Le Thil with just a little austerity on the finish that is curiously more Cabernet-like than Merlot. Give it a couple of years in bottle.

A fresh and balanced red with aromas of blackberries, dark chocolate and spices such as nutmeg. Light coffee undertone. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and a savory finish. 92% merlot and 8% cabernet sauvignon. From organically grown grapes. Delicious now.
