Good deep red. Wild, musky aromas of redcurrant, plum and smoke. Sweet and penetrating wine, but with a strong impression of acidity giving it an almost brutal character today. A wine of force but distinctly tough. Finishes with serious, clenched tannins and a suggestion of bitterness. This is usually a standout cuvee here but I wanted more sweetness of fruit and pliancy. Hints at some hydric stress.

Silky and fresh, with no heaviness. In fact, this offers outstanding finesse for Chames. Finishes lively, fresh, firm and long, with a note of chocolate.
