A serious, focused Saint-Emilion, the 2023 Lynsolence is 100% Merlot aged 18 months in 80% new French oak with the balance in second-fill barrels. Ripe black fruits, chocolate, chalky minerality, and graphite all define the nose, and on the palate it's medium-bodied, with a firm, concentrated mouthfeel, high yet reasonably integrated acidity, and a great finish. It's another Right Bank Merlot that needs a few years to gain some harmony, but it's quite good. Drink 2028-2038.

The 2023 Lynsolence turned out better than I had expected. Dark-toned fruit, new leather, herbs, mocha and gravel are nicely delineated. The 2023 is quite delicate but also nicely balanced. This plump, juicy Saint-Émilion has a lot to offer. Tasted two times.
The 2023 Lynsolence has quite a perfumed bouquet, black cherries and light balsamic notes, well-defined and perhaps more refined than previous vintages. The palate has a slight bitterness on the entry. Fine energy, a touch of balsamic once again judiciously used and lends a little tension on the finish. Overall, a decent Lynsolence to drink over the next decade.
