The 2023 Plince is a bold, punchy Pomerol. This is a decidedly hearty wine. Dark red cherry fruit, white pepper, new leather, incense, dried herbs and scorched earth are front and center. There's a bit of edginess in the tannins, but that won’t be a huge issue at the dinner table.

The 2023 Plince is quite high-toned on the nose with simple kirsch and strawberry scents, though for me, it does not quite have the charm and composure of the La Serre. The palate is medium-bodied with a peppery entry, a little more weight than it demonstrated from barrel, although I find the finish missing some tension, suggesting it was picked just slightly too late. Still, better than its primeur showing.
Good aromas of plummy fruit and cherries with touches of dried herbs and spices. Juicy and round, with a medium body and fine, soft-grained tannins. Firm and fruit-expressive finish. 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc. Drink now.
Incense, flowers, cherries, and spice fill nose, while the medium-bodied, palate is filled with bright, fresh, vibrant, red cherries, plums, and raspberries. This is a fresh, crisp styled, bright Pomerol.
