Punteggio 88-90/100 · Da bere 2025-2031, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, The Wine Independent, May 2024

A blend of 74% Sauvignon Blanc and 26% Semillon, the 2023 Opalie de Coutet prances out with cheery notes of baked apples, spice cake, and pear tart, leading to a waft of lemongrass. The light to medium-bodied palate is crisp and zesty, with a compelling chalkiness to the finish.

Punteggio 91-93/100 · Da bere 2026-2036, Neal Martin, Vinous, Apr 2024

The 2023 Opalie offers one of the best aromatic profiles amongst almost two dozen dry Sauternes tasted this vintage. There’s a complex array of orange pith, wet stone and apple blossom on the nose that is beautifully defined. The palate is well balanced with a tangy entry, possessing judicious touches of orange rind and bitter lemon and a pithier finish than its peers. Excellent.
