From a Listrac château worth seeking out, the 2023 Château Fourcas Dupré Blanc is based on 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Sémillon and aged eight months in a mix of 30% new oak barrels, 30% amphora, 30% stainless steel, and 10% concrete eggs. Juicy citrus, tart peach, and honeyed white flowers define the nose, and it's pure and medium-bodied on the palate, with clean, integrated acidity and a great finish. Drink this enjoyable white over the coming 4-5 years. Drink 2026-2030.

The 2023 Fourcas Dupré Blanc is an interesting dry white with real depth, textural presence and complexity, likely the result of the partial use of concrete and amphora alongside conventional French oak in aging. Orchard fruit, citrus and crushed flowers abound. There's a lot to like.
The 2023 Fourcas Dupré Blanc has a well-defined bouquet with freshly sliced pear, Granny Smiths and light stony scents. The palate is well-balanced with a fresh citrus-led entry, lightly spiced with hints of ginger and orange rind toward the finish. Fine.
Bright citrus-fruit and pear aromas and flavors here, with a tangy and flinty character. Medium-bodied, crisp and crunchy with a mineral underlay at the end.

This estate saw a transformation when Guy Pagès bought it in 1970. His work, driving quality higher with increasing attention to detail and passion, has been continued by his son Patrice, who took over in 1985.
