The 2023 Château du Retout has a light bouquet that gains intensity in the glass, blackberry and raspberry, touches of cedar and rose petal. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine weight and tension. This has improved during its barrel maturation, hence the elevated score.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 du Retout comes bounding out with exuberant notes of fresh blackcurrants, black raspberries, and kirsch leading to hints of bay leaf and graphite. The medium-bodied palate is bright and breezy, with chewy yet approachable tannins and a lively backbone, finishing with a skip in its step. The blend is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot.
Medium-bodied with fresh, crunchy fruit in the center-palate. It’s firm and structured with a juicy aftertaste.
