Note di degustazione
Checking in as a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot aged in 25% new French oak with the balance in second-fill barrels, the 2023 Château De Malleret is another charmer with medium-bodied aromas and flavors of ripe black cherries, cassis, smoky tobacco, and spicy wood. On the palate, it's round, supple, and nicely balanced, with soft tannins and tons of charm and character. Drink this solid Haut-Médoc over the coming 10-12 years. Drink 2026-2038.

The 2023 de Malleret turned out beautifully. Bright aromatics lift a core of red/purplish fruit, blood orange, pomegranate, spice and rose petal. There's gorgeous purity and fine balance here, not to mention terrific textural richness and depth. Soft contours wrap it all together in style. Tasted two times.
A juicy red with aromas of ripe, sweet currants and berries and a subtle twist of fine spices and minerals. Medium-bodied and compact, with good intensity and firm tannins. A very well-made wine showing balance, structure and nice length. 60% cabernet sauvignon, 34% merlot and 6% petit verdot. Drink now.
Cru bourgeois exceptionnel. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot. On Günzian gravel. Aged for 1 year in barrels (one-third new). Very dark core with crimson rim. Dark, leafy cassis aroma – clearly Cabernet-dominant. Lifted and inviting. Finely dry tannins, the fruit sweeter than I expected, smooth and polished on the finish. Chewy tannins nearly resolved. (JH)
