Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2026-2033, Jeb Dunnuck, Mar 2026

A blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon aged nine months in a mix of barrels (10% new), amphora, and concrete, the 2023 Clos Puy Arnaud sports a deep plum hue as well as ripe black fruit, roasted herbs, chocolate, and graphite, with some obvious minerality. It's medium to full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with a big, fleshy, layered mouthfeel and a great finish. I don't see this making terribly old bones, but it has plenty of depth and density. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years. Drink 2026-2033.

Dark, layered and wonderfully vibrant in the glass, the 2023 Clos Puy Arnaud has really come together since I tasted it in barrel. The purity of the fruit is really quite striking. Some edginess in the tannin needs time to soften, but there is a lot of wine here and the potential to match.

Black beans, olives and brambleberries on the nose of this dark-fruited, chewy red. It’s medium-bodied with firm, compact tannins. Polished and a little hard for now. 50% merlot, 45% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Try from 2028.

Flowers, chalk, and vibrant red fruits with a salty edge come through easily. The palate is energetic, with a liberal dose of crushed stones, and black cherries, leaving you with ample fruit, and mint in the finish. The wine blends 55% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
