Deep ruby/plum-hued, the 2023 Château De Chantegrive offers solid aromatics of black cherries, mulberries, leather, smoky herbs, and earth. Based on 57% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Petit Verdot and aged 12 months in 50% new French oak, it's medium-bodied on the palate and has a pure, nicely balanced mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. This is another beautiful Graves that will evolve nicely over the coming 10-15 years or more. There are roughly 16,650 cases produced. Drink 2026-2040.

The 2023 Chantegrive is a very pretty, delicate wine. Crushed flowers, cloves, menthol, incense and graphite are all finely sketched in this mid-weight, vibrant Graves. Cool mineral and savory notes abound in a tense, vibrant offering from Chantegrive.
The 2023 Château de Chantegrive feels a little smudged on the nose, with blackberry and mulberry fruit, a touch of melted tar developing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. Quite structured and tannic, the wood tannins just intrude on the finish. Give it three years in bottle.
Lots of ripe plum, black cherry, chocolate, and graphite notes emerge from the 2023 Château De Chantegrive, a medium-bodied, concentrated, ripe, and textured 2023 that has plenty of tannins, good purity of fruit, and solid length on the finish. It's a rocking little Grave with tons to love.
