Along with Les Ursules, the 2019 Blanc de Blancs La Bolorée stands out in Bouchard's portfolio this year for its purity and definition. Unwinding in the glass with notes of white currants, peach and pear mingled with notions of bread dough, dried white flowers and spices, it's medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, with a dense, concentrated and intensely vinous profile, framed by chalky extract and tangy acids.

The 2019 Blanc de Blancs La Bolorée is bright, precise and sculpted. Displaying notes of crushed rock, mint, white pepper and white flowers, the 2019 shows crystalline purity and notable focus from start to finish. La Bolorée usually needs a few years in bottle to be at its most expressive. I expect that will be the case here as well. Bottled with no dosage. Disgorged: 2023.
