The 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots (Domaine Gagey) has turned out very nicely, wafting from the glass with aromas of plums, red berries, orange zest and baking spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, it's supple and suave, with melting tannins and a saline finish.

Cask sample. Pale ruby. Already there seems to be some evolution here. Gentle and very fruity. Easy to like but with sufficient acidity. Very light tannins. I could almost drink this tonight. Hint of coffee but not over-oaked. Long. (JR)
The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Boudots 1er Cru conveys a sense of Pinoté on the very endearing nose - one of the most "transparent" amongst Jadot's wines in the Côte de Nuits. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy red fruit and gentle grip. It’s a voluminous Les Boudots with raspberry, white pepper and bay leaf towards the finish, leaving the tongue tingling. Classy.

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
