2012 Pouilly Fuisse Clos des Quarts

The 2012 Pouilly-Fuissé “Clos des Quarts” has a wonderful bouquet with ethereal floral notes: touches of white chocolate and almond, all with outstanding precision and mineralité. The palate is tense on the entry, very focused with layers of ripe citric fruit, a lot of minerality and a touch of orange zest on the tensile finish. This marks an impressive debut (in terms of control of the vineyard) but there is much much more to come.
