1992 Chambolle Musigny Les Amoureuses

The 1992 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru has a light nose but is actually more fragrant and presentable than the 1989 or 1990. Earthy with wild mint and fennel hints in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with a firm grip. Just when you think it might dazzle, it runs out of ideas, and the finish is rather fusty and austere. Nonetheless, better than expected. Tasted at the Les Amoureuses vertical at Hide restaurant.
