Note di degustazione
The 2021 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has more intense fruit than its peers, though I would not describe this as complex and, like others, it misses some delineation and mineralité . It just feels a bit pushed in the winery. The palate is medium-bodied with an overtly sweet slightly ersatz entry. This comes across as a rather over-chaptalized wine so the finish feels unnaturally sweet. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is rich and muscular, revealing aromas of orange zest, exotic spices, sweet berries and plums, framed by creamy new oak. Full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with rich structuring tannins and broad shoulders, it's one of the less immediate wines in the range.
Once again there is a lovely spice component to the exuberantly fresh and very pinot nose that is both pure and airy. There is fine richness and volume to the tautly muscular medium weight flavors that deliver excellent depth and persistence on the youthfully austere finale. This firm effort is a Clos de Vougeot of relatively finesse
