Note di degustazione
Moderately saturated palish red. Rather exotic aromas of redcurrant, mocha and marzipan complicated by menthol and truffle, with a note of cherry emerging with aeration. Broad and silky on the palate; in fact, impressively large-scaled for village wine. Finishes with round, sweet tannins and a rocky dryness. More minerals than primary fruit today but this is young.

(the estate traded its Bas Maizieres parcel to Bichot for these vines located next to the new winery in Vosne-Romanee): Musky aromas of redcurrant, smoke, tobacco and earth. Saline and soil-driven; more sensual and silky than the village wine, but with a firm rocky underpinning. These vines are not far from La Tache.
Just four barriques. Not a registered name; a commercial name. This is the first parcel they converted to biodynamics. Much much more energetic precise nose. Real Vosne stuff here. Lovely crackling fruit. Neat finish. Great precision. (JR)
