Note di degustazione
This domaine bottling is very savoury at first, then develops more delicate, floral tones. There’s a grippy framework, but the wine explodes on the palate – black cherry and brighter red berry, sweet-fruited and fresh, open and inviting. A wine of real finesse.

Deep and complex, the 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques (Domaine Louis Jadot) unwinds in the glass with aromas of cassis and plums mingled with orange zest, spices and vine smoke. Medium to full-bodied, ample and velvety, its broad attack segues into a supple, seamless mid-palate that's underpinned by lively acids.

Cask sample. Mid bright ruby. Very subtle nose promises excitement. So juicy and lifted! Yet with an undertow of just the sort of delicacy that only great red burgundy can offer. There is a mass of substance buried below the surface here. Very long and rich but with freshness too. (JR)
Informazioni sul produttore

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
