Cask sample. Rich, fleshy, dark-cherry notes on the palate. Crisp acidity. Structured, smooth and complex. A very classy Clos de Vougeot which will age beautifully. Give it a couple of years though. (AWH)

(Sweet Spot)<br /> Here a more restrained nose somewhat grudgingly offers up an array of pretty red berry scents that are trimmed in notes of earth, wood and a suggestion of smoked game. The delicious and vibrant larger-bodied flavors are both more powerful and more concentration though they don't have the refinement or sophistication of the Reignots on the beautifully long and more complex finale where the only nit is a touch of warmth. At last moderate patience strongly advised.
