It’s great to see this wine back after last year, when it wasn’t produced due to the tiny volumes. The fruit comes from Les Faconnières, Les Millandes and Les Cherrières – all of which sit below Clos de la Roche Grand Cru. This is the most approachable wine in the range, showing a vibrant, fruit-forward profile. Nevertheless, there’s still a firmness to the wine – tannins present yet tucked in between the crunch of raspberry and cranberry fruit. Mouth-wateringly fresh, with zesty acidity, this is an appealing and moreish wine.

The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru is attractive, bursting with aromas of sweet dark berries, licorice, warm spices, loamy soil and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, supple and perfumed, it's suave and harmonious, with good depth and a saline finish.
