Note di degustazione
The 2019 Château Montlabert is made with consulting advice from Hubert de Boüard, and it's another charming, impeccably made wine from this estate. Currants, tobacco, charcoal, and graphite all emerge on the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a fleshy, nicely textured mouthfeel, some firmer tannins, and a good finish. Drink it over the coming 10-12 years.

The 2019 Montlabert takes a little time to coalesce in the glass, eventually manifesting dark cherry, red currant, cedar and light pencil box aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with blackberry, bilberry and light floral scents, and hints of melted tar and cedar form a finish of commendable length and delineation. This might well deserve a higher score down the line, hence the plus-sign.
The 2019 Montlabert is a soft, easygoing Saint-Émilion. I would prefer to drink it over the next year or two as there just is not a lot of depth or complexity.
