2020 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve Coastal Region

The 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve comes from a single vineyard planted in 1988, the fruit not crushed, pressed under inert conditions, with seven to nine months on the lees. This has a taut, leesy nose that opens in the glass, just a touch of white asparagus in the background. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, understated on the entry with veins of orange rind and a dash of ginger on the finish. Worth seeking out.
