Note di degustazione
Showing the sort of earthy, farmy note that is either from maturation or bacteria or both – either way, this is very classic. Excellent violet perfume on the palate with high acid and lightly chewy tannins. Lacy and seductive. (RH)

The 2013 Vosne-Romanée Champs Perdrix Vieilles Vignes is backed up by serious structure and mid-palate density, especially at this level. Dark red cherry, plum, spice and tobacco meld together in a firm village-level Burgundy that is going to need time to soften. The 2013 is impressive, but also far from an easygoing wine. I imagine it will offer a good decade-plus of fine drinking.
(no new oak): Bright, dark red. Deep aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, flowers and minerals. Rich, sweet and pliant; seamless and sappy, combining lovely fat and precision. Quite suave owing to its vinosity. From the northern corner of the appellation. An excellent showing today.
