Note di degustazione
I believe the second wine of Péby Faugères, the Merlot-dominated 2019 Le Merle De Péby Faugères has a great nose of ripe red and black currants, vanilla, iron, and cured meats. This is a rich, fleshy, medium to full-bodied 2019 with beautiful fruit, an expansive mouthfeel, plenty of classy oak, and a great finish. It's going to drink nicely for a decade.

The 2019 Le Merle de Péby Faugères exhibits rich aromas of spicy blackcurrant and plums framed by hints of vanilla pod and coconut. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and extracted, with a sweet core of fruit and plenty of powdery tannin, it concludes with a broad, oak-inflected finish. Fans of the style will find plenty to appreciate.
The 2019 Le Merle de Péby Faugères has an attractive nose of black cherries, raspberry coulis and light rose petal scents. The palate is medium-bodied, plush and rounded, and quite peppery toward the well-defined finish. The 20% Cabernet Sauvignon lends a fine graphite edge. Worth seeking out.
The 2019 Le Merle de Péby Faugères is laced with sumptuous black cherry fruit, chocolate, new leather, spice and graphite. This racy second wine offers tons of immediacy and overall appeal. Attractive, savory top notes complement the Merlot fruit nicely.
